>>12137854>Simultaneous shutdown of the entire country for 2-4 weeks. Virus dies out everywhere all at once, entire nation goes back to normal at the end. This is ridiculous. Unless you reduced the number of patients to zero, it would just restart again when the lockdown is lifted. And you'd never get anything close to that because the virus is so contagious it stays in the population with reduced contact.
>It was planned and deliberate prolonging of suffering and deaths.I don't even know what this statement means. There is no alternative of getting rid of the virus. Your only option is to slow the spread so you don't overload the healthcare system and cause triage deaths and allow a lot of people to die before therapies and vaccines are available. The only way to expedite the suffering and death would be to let the virus spread at full speed, and you'd have a lot more of it.
>They've stated multiple times on the record how this virus is good for their election chances and the worse it is the better Trump will do in election. This is THEIR rational they've stated and admitted to on TV. Who? And how? Trump had the election in the bag before the virus. The economy, not just the stock market, was stomping and unemployment was very low and democrat appeals to despair would be useless. The faster the virus is over with the more time we would have to return to this state. If the virus could have been eradicated in 2-4 weeks with a full shutdown trump would be a hero on top of that.
>they blame the other side for coming up the concept of shutdowns, saying they don't work and it was a mistake, ignoring the fact they purposefully did them wrongConservatives were protesting shutdowns with small protests in a few cities, but any hope of convincing them was lost when BLM bucked the shutdowns and went unchallenged by the democrats and conservatives realized lockdown enforcement was selective and political. That's whos most responsible for fucking up the shutdowns.
