There's ACE-2 blockers if they want to go that route. Children have higher levels of ACE-2, so it's a little simplistic to say that's the direct cause of severe disease.

Strange, it seems lower digit ratio (more masculine men) have lower fatality rates. Circulating testosterone has a correlation with abdominal adiposity, so that may be where the problem lies.

Yeah, but the comorbidities by themselves don't mean anything. It's the associated increase in inflammation within the body which increases the severity. Older adults in general (even without any risk factors) will have a more severe response to the virus. Theoretically without modern medicine we'd see an increase in deaths across all old people, regardless of risk, but we have drugs which can control the inflammation fairly effectively in healthy people.
