Need advice /sci/

Anybody here familiar with computational engineering?

I am doing patent law rn and I fucking hate it, I miss research. This may I got a BS in aerospace engineering and a certificate in computational engineering with a 3.93 and have relevant research/extracurriculars/coursework from undergrad. Just need to take GRE and secure rec letters and I should be good.

Is this a good idea? Will I make decent money doing computational engineering? I don't want to be rich but I want to be well off enough to live a nice life doing something I enjoy doing. Thanks
