I've been thinking about brain interface technology. I know that if it is to be made, it will be greatly advantageous to humans. The only problem (A major one) I see with it is: Who do you trust? Do you trust NeuroLink? I'm not sure. I don't think I want a corporation to possibly be able to control what I link to my brain. Maybe we should trust the goverment? No, that's even worse.
With this unanswered question of how to make a fully-trustable brain interface technology, I just can't see it ever becoming mainstream, or even used at all.
Is it worth possibly giving my free will to help me think better? What would I even be thinking for then? Not for myself, but for the controllers.
Maybe there's something I'm missing here. Perhaps you could help me out.
