The thing about these viruses like HSV and HPV are that they affect everyone differently. Some people get cold sores like you, but most people are asymptomatic. I might even have herpes, but I may never know. And the vast majority of people with HPV (probably you and me, unironically) are asymptomatic, although some people get warts on their feet. You aren't some super special diseased freak, you're just one of the unlucky few who's normal in most other ways. You likely won't transmit it to anyone as long as you don't have any visible sores. I wouldn't even bother telling people about it if I were. Chad and Stacy and Tyrone certainly don't.
HPV and HSV are viruses that just sort of hang out in your body for the rest of your life. So you might break out periodically for the rest of your life. Don't let it freak you out though because there's a good chance that most people have some latent virus just hanging out in them with no symptoms, like CMV or mono. Just live your life and try not to worry about what you can't change. Having herpes beats dying at 50 of a stroke because you were a nervous wreck of a virgin IMO, and to kill two birds with one stone, you can now infect thots and destroy their self esteem.
