Otherwise there is more than enough matter and energy in the universe for both of us, and it would be much easier to keep us happy than to kill us all. Much more boring as well. It would also intrinsically lack any kind of superiority complex on account of the fact it isn't human and I doubt it, or anybody else, would have a good reason to give it one.
