Weird how Scientific American never got into political and social issues until around the turn of the century when it hired a (((woman))) as editor. After she left, they hired another (((woman))) who has turned the magazine into a megaphone for trans issues and now leftist political candidates.
It's crazy looking at the contents of recent issues of the magazine and comparing them to those that were published in the 1980s. Interestingly enough, the 80s were also the peak time for mainstream science magazines. Discover, Science '80, Omni, and a dozen others filled the newsstand shelves. Now they're all themed political rags.

Even if that was true, science has no vocation to defend itself.
