C, you can rotate it to cover up everything except ALL the blue dots. No other shape can be applied to leave all of a single color visible.

Take D and put it vertically on top of the red dot. Then extend it to both sides, creating a "donut". Leaving only the red dot.

The thing is, we're supposed to make only 1 dot visible, the red.

Now the red one inhibits the #5 in the matrix

[
1, 2, 3
4, 5, 6
7, 8, 9
]

Now all other shapes, if put 2 dimensionally will cover the #5.

Therefore, if above assumption is correct, we need a 3 dimensional solution.

Here, D can provide that, assuming it's also still within the rules (probably not, and I most likely missed something)

Your solution >>12127916 is correct if 3 dimensions is not allowed (the part where no share can be applied)

We agree on the no shape can be applied due to above matrix argument, which you also pointed out first.

Oh, I didn't even read the instructions and I'm not convinced that OP didn't just make them up to troll us. IQ tests are typically purely visual to avoid cultural bias and I correctly guessed that the mechanism was covering up the dots with the shapes. So I stand by my answer. FWIW I don't find it convincing that you can just turn the shapes into donuts though, lol.

Yeah, I agree, don't think the donut is legal either, it was just apparent that no shape was viable, so I just tried to have a little fun.

Rotate 90 degrees to the right.
Make a 70-80ish degree angle with with the left side of the box,as in 2 planes.

As further evidence OP is messing with us, I must point out that there would be no reason to differentiate the dots in so many colors if the exercise was to leave the red one uncovered.
