Personal take though, as a mathlete I do spend a lot of hours studying and training. I don't find doing super long hours very efficient, as in it is probably a lot better to study say eight hours a day (if you have whole days to devote to studying) with it broken up into four two hours segments than to study straight for ten hours. I consider myself very motivated with math, but I will get burned out super quickly if I start spending 18 hours a day on it. Just saying, you should probably also do some other things beyond math with your 18 hours because that is, in my opinion, too much time spent on math.
