I'm in a rough personal spot so maybe don't take advice from a man in trouble, but in retrospect my best years were when I was on the "up and up" truly making the most of each day - until it came crashing down through external factors I'm only now just remediating.
A typical weekday for those 3 years was this
>wake up around 6am
>coffee and news for about 40 minutes
>Shower and dressed, out the door 7:30
If I was on top of things I packed my lunch
>Arrive at work or Uni, settle in by 830
>Review schedule of the day, reply to emails
>by 9 start grinding into the topic of the morning, whether it class, an item on my study list or the task(s)
>Lunch half hour - sometimes with coworkers, other classmates, sometimes on the go if heading to the other midday
>settle in for second half of day.
>tea time 2-3
>Start wrapping up 430, go over things for tomowrrow
>fight rush hour traffic
>take a breather / have dinner / watch the news
>Try to go for a walk / get some exercise (preferably bike ride)
>Ideally do some schoolwork / prep for tomorrow (laundry grocery cleaning etc)
>If really had to do schoolwork Id go to the library till 10p
>Get back home around 11 and pass out
>start again next day
Sounds like a lot and it was, but in retrospect it was preffered to what happened when things fell apart. It was my early 20s and the future looked very bright, I was set. Got into a car accident and long story short I let things fall apart after that. But those were the days I felt most complete.
