Do you mean intelligent life or a microorganism?
Perhaps we cannot even perceive this life form at all, because it may not consist of atoms?
Life as we know it could only be developed with the influence of earthly conditions. Maybe if the atmosphere is e.g. other than ours, life could have developed differently.
If we start from the thesis that asteroids brought water to earth, it could be that the "intelligent life" or primitive life could have similarities to our species.
