If a camera takes a picture of a tree, the tree is, or was, real, but the tree in the photograph is not real, it is ink on a page.
If an eye sees a tree via light bouncing off said tree, is the image you receive real? At what point does it become not real, or a copy? When it is exchanged from photons to neurons?
If it is not real, then is anything our eyes interpret real?
If not, how can trees be real if our eyes aren't real?
