Just math and figures and fancy guesswork.

If they do exist, our species is about an eon too young to even think about trying to touch that stuff.

So don't waste your time thinking about it too much, leave that to the big brains who get hard off doing inapplicable math.

The only "science" behind wormholes is that they are one mathematical interpretation of General Relativity. They have never been observed and nobody has the slightest clue how they would emerge or be created. They are even more exotic than black holes. General Relativity is not absolute truth and may be more open ended than the laws of physics really are, so we also don't know if they are even physically possible.

Parallel worlds and multiple universes are completely untestable, and have no place in science.
