Is it really worth getting into? I feel the industry is over saturated and most scientist are just a dame a dozen kind of thing, easily replaced and most always found-whoring, and if any gets to do anything innovative whoever they work for usually takes the credit. There’s no such thing as successful independent research anymore is it? Also is it too late to get into it if im 22? Or is it too late for me? I’ve certainly cared about the money but Ive always wanted to make my own thing... bioengineering maybe? I don’t know, thread will probably be ignored.
