>>12119523Nowhere have I stated that we know everything nor have I stated I am an expert on Venus. What I have stated, based on the experts opinion and paper, that the levels of phosphine gas detected on Venus cannot be explained by KNOWN science. That's it. That's all there is to it. The only way it CAN be explained is there is microbial life producing it. End of. Now, if you know more about Venus and chemistry and so on than the experts, you're free to challenge them and provide evidence. They have welcomed this. They have stated, several times, that this is not concentre proof of alien life. They have stated, several times, that they are open to the possibility of there being a natural chemical reaction producing this. They have stated, several times, that the only KNOWN way the concentration could get that high is either artificially producing phosphine gas in a lab OR via microbial life.
>we need more informationThe information cannot be gathered due to funding. This is, as I have said in the thread already, a likely attempt to get more funding to find out more about Venus. Regardless; there is something new and unknown happening on the planet and that requires work.
As it stands, the only known way the phosphine gas can be produced at that level, worked out by chemists and loads of other very smart people, is microbial life. End of. No more discussion. If you have evidence to prove it is a natural chemical reaction, feel free to challenge them.
