You should be praying that the phosphine detected on Venus is being created by an unknown, abiogenic geological process.
Because if microbial life really is the one responsible for phosphine on venus then that means life is extremely common in the universe. which means the fact that we have yet to see ANY signs of intelligent life whatsoever means the great filter is ahead of us, or that the hurdles of interstellar space travel are simply too great to overcome for almost all life in the universe.
It would also mean that massive projects like super advanced AIs, Dyson spheres and Self replicating robots are nothing more than fantasy and are not technologically possible.
