Yes, because photons aren't fast enough to write a text massage and SVG picture, and that's most you need of internet, like 6MB a day is most you spend when we don't count the ads and you don't follow information speed limit provided by video.

Could be useful for speaking underwater for those deep diving missions.

Also useful for space travel. Especially as our travels get longer and longer. Being able to bypass the speed of photons could be useful.

That's not how quantum entanglement works. From Fred's perspective, he knows the state of George's particles the moment Fred measures his own particles by virtue of them being entangled, but the measurements Fred gets will be random. However from George's perspective, all he sees is just a group of his unmeasured particles. George can measure his particles, and know the state of Fred's entangled particles from those measurements, but his own measurements will still be random.

Sorry, got the names confused. Replace Fred with Dude One and George with Dude Two.

My point being that while information travels instantly between entangled particles; from the perspective of the people on either end, nothing happens until the particle on their end is measured.
