What is the most definitive book to learn about the history of math. I would like for it to also include explanations of every math theory, but I also want to prioritize historical narrative, and the view of math as something holy.

Why don’t people teach the history and narrative of math in math classes? I think it would be conducive to helping people remember rules and just making things stick.
