How do I self-study Physics up to Quantum Mechanics? I just want to be able to understand Physics beyond Classical Mechanics.

I'm applying to medical school and for finanical reasons I can't really stay in college any longer.

Futher, is it even possible or do I need formal instruction to actually understand it?

I recommend Feynman lectures for your purpose

yes, very. QM books are pretty well-written and there are a lot of resources out there.
math will be your biggest hindrance, if you don't know basic differential equations or linear algebra it'll be impossible.

I've taken General Physics I and II at my university. I didn't really exert myself to develop a great understanding, but I'm not terrible at it. I've taken Calc II but I was very close the the cutoff for a C. I'm fucking awful at anything regarding series. But applications of differentiation / intergration I'm comfortable with.

They're more about intuition than calculations
I think you can start directly with the third which is about quantum mechanics. But if you have problems I'd just go from the beginning and skip the boring chapters. They're highly worthwhile anyway.

Your physics background is enough, but your math isn't. Differential equations are a different field from just calc.
It seems that you would need to first learn some beginner diff eq and some beginner linear algebra.

If you're looking for something different than >>12105604 is recommending, in terms of understanding the math behind the phenomena, then Townsend's QM book is probably the best introduction. However, you shouldn't be able to follow it without the prerequisites I've mentioned above.
