and of course the cult like “professional” community turning the other cheek, ie “do you have any questions directly related to the material at hand in my class”, when confronted with the despicable policies their colleagues are guilty of
such as but not limited to
>50% of the grade on timed quizzes with less than 10 minutes per question when the material is still new
>Abusing overloaded and highly contextual words like “minimum”, with no way to ask for clarification
>Giving 0s for minor arithmetic errors in upper math classes on final steps of calculation
>giving vague, unhelpful, and often derogatory feedback and, when asked to elaborate, ghosts
>concatenating grade totals and rounding down the lost portion
>grades based on attendance, you never see this sheet, and you can never prove you were there
>exam questions not covered during lecture of problems sets, or homework intentionally insufficient for adequately preparing the examined material
>intentionally misleading students as to the material being covered on a future exam
>outright refusal to teach certain students, typically men, and favoritism to female students
>requesting a student not show up to class again after the drop deadline and then failing said student
>claiming student is a disruption for asking questions regarding the material
