From what we can tell, the spacetime curvature of our universe is flat., opposing to spherical or hyperbolic. That doesn't mean that we live on a flat plane, it just means that there is no major positive of negative curve in our universe. If it was spherical, our world could be represented as a 3D surface of a 4D hypersphere.

Because a 2D universe with a positive curvature can be represented as a surface of a 3D sphere (see: OP's image). Extrapolate this 1 dimension up and you get what I posted.

lol nope. in dim=2 you have S^2 and RP^2, in dim=3 you have also lens spaces and other stuff. and that's only the case of closed manifolds.

I think there should be other words than flat and curved, when it's 3d squished.

But topology says, there's a coordinate system, in which it's flat. And that's probably why we percieve it like that.

There is half meter in a meter there, but we know that half meter is meter and see it as meter.

There's always some coordinate system, which can render objects like spaces homogenous in space. That's what I wanted to say.
