I wrote code in matlab for analysing data from diffusion tensor imaging of brains.
It took me less than a week to pick up matlab, and other students in the lab who had no coding background took less than 2 weeks. It was essentially plug and chug. Though I wrote the code for the chugging.
I could easily write code that could solve pic related, but it would run for a very long time before outputting the answer. Whereas a mathematician could solve it relatively quickly.
They are two different approaches, but mine is plug and chug
