Gravity is the same phenomenon as magnetism, the apparent difference is only a matter of coherence. There is no "bending of spacetime", that is an absurdity as space has no properties or substance.

Space + Time as one thing.

It's not hard to get.

You would have to prove that it's possible to move through space, without moving through time, to disprove our current understanding of space-time. Or you could prove the inverse, that it's possible to move through time, without moving through space.

It might actually be possible to prove that you can move through time, without moving through space, if you find the Ultima Lagrange point.

A theoretical point in space where all effects of gravity are cancelled out evenly by all other objects in the universe.

That point probably doesn't exist, given the asymmetry of the observable Universe, but it may exist temporarily in various locations. It will move, and if that point moves through space, you really can't prove your idea as valid.

I think OP is misinterpreting it the other way around.

GR is probably going to be something that we'll realize is part of a different explanation in the future. We'll grow out of it, when we find a better interpretation that encompasses GR's observations and QM. Every other genius on /sci/ thinks they've figured that one out, but in reality we're all waiting for a bigger brain to get it done.

He claimed there was no evidence for the bending of spacetime, why is irrelevant.

GR will be a special case of quantum gravity, just as Newtonian gravity is a special case of GR.
