What is the current state of psychopharmacological research? MAPS and Johns Hopkins seem to be mostly concerned with the neurophysiology of hallucinogens (especially psilocybin and not much else) but I barely see anyone talk about altered states of consciousness from a more holistic and qualitative point of view.
