Both extreme left and extreme right are rare, as opposed to centrists. There's also a slight trend where the extreme right-wing starts picking up again, though not as much as the left.
Other possibilities: men lean toward the extreme right, so this could suggest a gender divide in part. Men also tend to avoid going to doctors, so they're more likely to suffer from an issue without being diagnosed.
If there's another study that can replicate the results, I would be more likely to believe it. Especially since academia tends to manipulate studies to support left-wing positions at the moment.
