I got memed into studying for a physics degree by /sci/
I dropped out from a brain dead business major, I don't know shit about any science subjects because I didn't take them in high school
can I realistically speaking learn high school math/physics in less than 8-10 months?

OP, you can get competence in high school math and physics far beyond any high school graduate if you apply yourself for less than one month for math and the same goes for physics, just grab a book and solve most exercises as they're introduced.

You have to understand that most people forget about these subjects and don't ever use them again in all their worklife. Furthermore, business applied is thousands of times more rewarding in the sense that, with money, you can hire any broke scientist to help you solve whatever bullshit you want to do, as long as you have the money, and many of them will do stuff for free if you give them hope, so don't waste years of your life on math, apply business over and over again until you make profits

Don't fall for the propaganda that 'you can do anything' - it's a lie that people tell children to get them to try harder. Peoples intelligence varies any some are not capable of doing math to the required level. I don't know much about the US educational system, but from what I know it's pretty retarded so high school maths might be enough. In the UK a physics undergraduate course will require partial differential equations, the calculus of variations and differential geometry - that requires a lot of mathematical maturity and an ability to think abstractly.

(The same applies to software, where the problem is particularly bad. I would estimate only one in four software graduates can really program at a competent level; the rest can't think abstractly enough to ever achieve that level of competence).

be good with single variable integration (by parts and by substitution too) derivatives
be really good with trigonometry (the definition of cos sin in a triangle, identities etc ) and that's basically it i think but do a lot of physics exercices that use trigonometry so you can see

Then go straight to calculus

Sure, high school textbooks tend to be excellent for self-study. You can also supplement with tons of YouTube videos, online problem sets, etc. There's so much material, the world is basically your oyster. A friend of mine did exactly what you're thinking of doing, now a couple of years later he's a grad student. You're going to have a great time.

So, start degree, study 1-2 sems. did you fail your classes? did you enjoy it xd? could you push yourself to do the work every day? that's an indicator
