How do I scientifically not be like this and just get it done with? I'll probably have to take an extra year of uni if this continues. Annoying retard willpower.

Just tell yourself you're going to work on homework/study for 15 mins, then go back and relax for an hour. Repeat this, while gradually extending the amount of time you study (next time do 20 mins on, then an hour off, etc.)

get a program that blocks all distraction websites, turn your phone off for an hour (to start) and study. if you find yourself trying to go back to youtube, turn off your computer.

I had to go through this and having the distractions available was always a problem.
