What Is A Normal Imagination?

No.12090356 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I used to post on here far more regularly, but an experience I had recently has made me want to come back.

I tried one tab of lsd after only ever drinking caffeine. I have abstained from every other drug known to man before this, but I wanted to try it. After a 20 hour trip (visual field was cluttered and I could not really read well before that point) I started questioning whether I was normal or not.

>I could give a green text if anybody is interested

It got me thinking on how I sort-of hallucinate on caffeine. To be more specific, I see outlines of things like glowing auras when I am on caffeine or when I concentrate on things sober. I would not confuse this with image burn-in. I also see latticework like detailed in the wiki links at night with only small amounts of effort.

For reference I can imagine busy and complex scenes with relative ease. A lot of the time I feel like my imagination is more detailed and beautiful than real life because I can see things in better focus and with better lighting. I have also started modeling cubes in my head as a pass-time. I can render about 16 in my head and fly around them without much stress.

Is this normal? Is this not normal? Am I just a guy with a really active visual imagination, did I just trip really hard, or do all signs point to future schitzo poster?

I implore the /sci/entists of this board to help me reach a verdict! Am I alone? My friends kind of just look at me sad when I talk about stuff like this. I don't know if it is because I am concerning them or because this information is trivial. I feel isolated.
