A lot of our milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and measuring tools are in Imperial and will cost a fortune to replace them all.
Even if we replaced them with metric machines were just going to get jobs for parts that were drafted anywhere from the 1900s-1970s with all imperial dimensions.
That all being said we only use inches and pounds for our measurements so ultimately there isn't much difference in switching to mm and kg.
I love the metric system and all my measuring tools are in metric because I dont need to worry about some faggot taking my micrometer and running off with it because they can't read metric.
