Some math teachers are like that but some departments prefer to hire people who will protect their knowledge as a secret, sorta, than to share it in the most learnable fashion.

You could put me in a classroom with some undergrads and give them the same tests as the other profs give their students, and I am certain my students would outperform by a full letter grade at an average university. A lot of teachers really miss the point, IMO.

Bet your teachers cannot construct a square with and area of 2,4 and 8 respectively.

But now you can teach them how. And you can do it with any unit of measurement. 1ft 1meter. 1cm, 1kilometer. 1in. Your thumb.
And they will all be proportionately correct

I use mine craft... we can agree mine crafts square are the same size through out the world. And it hearts my head.. thinking about it.. because a 4ft square and an 8ft square are not what you imagine.

This is exactly it. 3Blue1Brown videos often go for style over substance. I get that he has to simplify the topics in order to make them accessible to a YouTube audience, but at times they are simplified to the point that they don't contain much information.
