you can get opium high from smoking opium or shooting heroin; heroin goes through blood brain barrier more easily hence more intense "high". Therefore there's a legit reason for one over the other (and notably the synthetic/processed version is better, see people who prefer fent vs heroin)
You can smoke pot or vaporize concentrate, people have their preferences but typically concentrate is "stronger", however differences can be explained by wider range of terpene content in raw cannabis flower vs concentrate. Again, a legit explanation of differences.
