if you're smart the answer is EE. if you're not smart and want a good salary and good quality of life then ME. this is not a bad thing, you need to be honest with yourself about your own abilities.

I'm doing EE, got about 2 years left. I was originally planning to do CE but EE just seems like a better investment for the future. The only plus of CE was working outside the office occasionally

I have the intellect of the average high schooler because I just got out of school this year and my family is extremely rich they can pay for my college on a whim my dad is good with cars that very reason has gotten my interested in engineering
I do not want this to be my job completely rather as a side career I am currently studying stock markets and crypto currency
I do not want to make this my only source of income but I want the skills for this
I do not want to be stuck a branch of engineering that's specific enough Which I will get bored
I want to have fun with this like a hobby and not as a job

Do you think building circuits and thinking about schematics is gonna be fun homework? Its pretty fun so far. Homework assignments are basically build a logic circuit, or do an electronics lab project. I'm having fun. Maybe some mech bros could share what their courses are like, and if they like what they are learning.

Sounds cool bro. I'm going into Uni this year and I've got enough credits coming in to where I can get a degree in both Physics and either ME or EE. I really can't decide because I love math and science in general and pretty much any kind of engineering interests me. Right now I'm leaning towards mechanical because it's more broad and I could potentially do cool home projects with that kind of knowledge, but I've heard that EE uses a lot more math and generally makes a bit more. Any advice? Also thanks for anyone that reads this :)
