Why is there such little information about reinfection?
The only half decent source I've found was a mostly asymptomatic man, who was completely asymptomatic the second time. All the fear mongering stuff seems to be coming out of tabloids and faux news.

Is it real or not? Possible, but statistically insignificant? Less severe the second time?

given the ability of the virus to inflict damage to one's lungs even if it does not manifest in symptoms, I'd wager yes. Again, keep in mind this thing has only been around for a little less than 9 months (excluding China), and so if the aforementioned source is to be taken literally, data acquisition is difficult

From the Iceland study. Maybe the England study wasn't from the Imperial College of London, but I can't be bothered to corroborate it. Know that there were many places that independently confirmed waning antibody counts on the scale of 3 months. Here's one from Wuhan:

I think it's less to do with our "technology" and more to do with how rapid humans travel, and how fucking retarded the average person is. As far as the US is concerned, our performance is a reflection of the political climate. N.b. when AIDS first arrived and the fucking retards in office (Reagan) defunded the CDC and went to great lengths to prove that HIV was a problem of only the homosexual community, when heterosexuals and drug-users were being infected.

Not to mention people are historically more content in rolling over and letting an easily preventable disease become endemic than taking the minimum amount of steps to prevent/eradicate it.

Yes, several cases were just confirmed in the past week. One of the people was reinfected all the way back in May. We've been hearing reports of reinfection for months, but many medical professionals were refusing to acknowledge them. The evidence is solid enough now to acknowledge that it's happening.

In several instances, no, including the case I mentioned above. His initial infection was mild, but he was hospitalized the second time around.
