labs and field trips are still in person, but most of them are set up to do online too because fuck paying $2500 to sit in a shitty room on campus listening to lectures online for 95% of the semester

My university is doing a hybrid online/in person system, where most classes are online with some being in-person. Many of the ones in-person don't really need to be (like my history gen ed - who needs to be on campus for that?), but several courses in my degree are only offered in-person. So, I'm in my college town.

Worth mentioning that 50% of the frat/sorority Chads/Staceys got COVID. And this is only week 2 of classes.

It's a shitshow tho, these fucking retards won't stop partying to keep the uni open. Rn we only have 37 cases out of ~30000 students, so we're doing super well, but like I give t a 50/50 chance of having a major outbreak following labor day.

yes of course. by local town hall ordnance and university ordnance. there is an on campus covid testing everyone is required to go to every week to get tested too. if you have covid you get isolated. prevented lots of cases but super expensive. they are spending millions on testing. Maine is trying to be able to stay open by having everyone get tests who come in. and since they have low cases it kind of works. so they have lots of money to throw around for testing
