It's an additive in Sensodyne toothpaste, which you can buy anywhere except the US.

I should have been a bit more clear there, sorry. You can buy Sensodyne (specifically the Repair and Protect variety) in the US but it doesn't have the NovaMin additive which you can get elsewhere in the world.

iirc the FDA said that GlaxoSmithKline would have to do their own independent FDA-approved tests to prove that NovaMin has therapeutic qualities, otherwise they couldn't continue to advertise it/use it. GSK said yeah nah fuck that and decided it was cheaper to just pull the product entirely rather than spending a fortune replicating studies that have already been done in the past just to abide by government redtape.
