Is there a method for having space elevators located away from the equator in the Northern and Southern hemispheres? I came across a video that suggested linking several tethers to a space station that acts as a counterweight, which would have the added benefit of easy access from multiple locations, and more traffic up and down said tethers. I don't know if this would work, however.
