4D beings (with an unknown physical dimension to us being the fourth dimension) perceive 3D objects differently than us 3D beings. They are able to see the full geometry of 3D shapes, something we as 3D beings cannot.

By extension, 2D beings see 2D shapes differently than we do. We are able to see a square’s entire geometry, while 2D beings must use their senses and dimensions to differentiate different 2D shapes.
