>>12072256>Generally speaking, I do my best to get information from textbooks and clinical trials.>You seem completely fine with the government giving HCQ to millions of people for off-label use and dosing, but scared about the safety of vaccines.not what I'm saying. AFAIU, HCQ was given on prescription even before this pandemic started. if not, they could start doing that now. my idea is that, since people already get tested, they could be given pills as soon as they are confirmed infected or start showing symptoms, not before they are asked for (potential) associated risks
>What's more likely? A scared old man playing chemistry with fish tank cleaner accidentally overdosed/poisoned himself or there is a massive media campaign about a treatment we rushed into with mixed results?not sure if I understood your point, but...
a media campaign doesn't necessarily need to be a conspirancy. some of them take whatever there is and twist it into a moral/political message, then the rest repeat it, as they all usually do. they all buy their news from the same sources...
>>12072345I mention trump because of the (obvious, IMO) campaign to show him as incompetent. I'm not pro-trump, and he is incompetent, but so are most politicians. so what?
>The experts at the time thought the higher doses could yield better results.I mean, for those doses, either COVID of HCQ could kill you... doesn't seem to make much sense to me, tbqh. but yeah, I'm not the expert or whatever.
>Potentially, hospitalized patients would be better suited to take the higher doses because of the 24/7 care. COVID patients are often on sodium bi-carb drips that help with HCQ toxicity.aha, I didn't know this.
>Your lack of expertise in the subject is ultimately forcing you into trusting the authority of someone's blog, all while you simultaneously scoff at the idea of trusting alternatives.vaccines would be fine if they followed the normal process. and the blogpost has tons of references.
