how long was the thesis?
in my lab we read phd theses all the times as references. we have a collection of typos since theses often have a few decent mistakes in them.

but in reality you're so familiar with your own work that you don't actually read it when you review it, since you've seen it so many times your brain plugs in what you think the correct thing is no matter what's written.
