Basically, the two galaxy clusters collided, but the dark matter contained in them went straight through the regular matter in the cluster because of inertia and lack of electromagnetic interaction, now it's outside of the galaxy cluster, but it's still causing gravitational lensing. Modified gravity theories are absolute garbage at describing this is any way (along with other death knells like galaxies that have a lack of dark matter and CMB evolution).
Unsurprisingly this makes cranks mad as fuck.
