>>12058976Man created God in his own image. The whole problem with the Biblical God was he thought that he loved them, but eventually, in truth, he also desired to be known and loved in return. That is why he had to dominate, manipulate, give conflicting demands, torment, torture, and destroy them all, because he loved them. He loved them so much that he had to save them, guide them, bring them everything they could possibly desire, be a shepherd leading them to their salvation. Therefore, they had to be controlled. It was the only way to alleviate his fear and discomfort. He was flawed, therefore, his children were similarly flawed. Thus the flood to rid him of his great mistake (his reflection), and then after Ziusudra survives he can't bring himself to finish the job, and he abandons them completely. Only to later return to them in the form of a man, such that they could understand.
Basically I'm not entirely convinced you're really in touch with your own needs and your "shadow" as they're calling it now. The whole Biblical narrative is about the basis, course, and consequences for those who feel like a detached alien observer of this world. There is no true unidirectional relationship. Not on a large spatial and temporal scale, anyway.
