I experienced something very odd the other day, I can only describe it as otherworldly intelligence, in a terrifying way.
While playing an online game, for years at a top level, playing everyone in this small community, and being on one of the hottest streaks of my life, I was completely decimated by random new players never before seen in the entire history of the game, their ability to predict ahead, react, and move where completely and utterly unhuman, they could make predictions of where I was going to be at an impossibly consistent rate, the equivalent of a golfer getting hole in one's back to back while the hole was doing its best to evade. There is no calculatable way to fake, or hack this type of playing ability. My only conclusion is that these players, who never once spoke, or communicated where not from earth, and if they where, they had to be some sort of telepathic supersoldier on some sort of powerful drug that gives them superhuman abilities.
The vast difference, in the playing I experienced was completely flooring, and as quickly as these players arrived, they left. They used no cheap tactics, showed complete control, and since then it's the single strangest experience I've ever had in my entire gaming life... I have over 8k hours In online fps environments, but these players played like they had 300k hours, where on telepathic psychedelics, and had reaction times several orders of magnitude faster than any human players.
This experience was in the last month, on a pc game called tribes ascend.
I wish I could aquire the logs of the games and find the players... Will update this story if I ever have any more interactions with them.
