what are some scientific aproaches to conciousness, what generates it?

i mean, it sparks a lot of philosophical arguments because of its complexity but there has to be some sort of hard explanation, its almost impossible to see from outside but for each of us our conciousness is something tangible and real.

why does a certain organization of molecules and electrons causes a signal that makes something thats somewhere """""experience""""" pain pleasure pride love or whtever

does there even exist any sane way to aproach this problem even vaguely evidence based that doesnt insantly devolve in neo-hippie bullshit philosophical masturbation or shitty ultra rational denial of anything outside the inmediate material world???
