But even then, some "black trans woman" will have an experience that gives certain urgency and exposure to issues not commonly encountered by the rest of academia. Through those issues that person will have a passion for questions that are normally overlooked. Then there is the concept that people with different lives have different approaches to the same problem.
What you are referring to is the "diversity of experience" that can help a team come up with creative solutions and tackle previously unidentified problems. This isn't just a minority status thing, there was a case where a hairdresser with no formal academic training made major archeological discoveries about ancient rome due to her ability to recreate hairstyles and identify why certain ones were used. Like how an empress was losing hair from lead poisoning later in life which is why her hair style changed etc.
