Srinivasa Ramanujan claimed the Gods gave him knowledge of mathematics.
Tsiolkovsky claimed aliens beamed knowledge of rocketry into his mind.
Newton claimed he was recieving messages from God.
Jack Parsons claimed he contacted beings that gave him knowledge of rocketry.
Why are there scientists that claim they were given knowledge by Gods and Aliens when science is supposed to be a rigorous, evidence based, process?

Not at all. Most geniuses of the past 400 years were/are atheists or deists. But religious belief is also kind of orthogonal to intellectual capacity when it comes to science/engineering. You can be a brilliant scientist but a terrible philosopher, and vice versa.

God or religion is essentially just the modules of our brain that have to do with culture, civilization, less about the ego, subconscious, orders our senses and the foundation of our identity. Receiving messages from god is essentially being extremely connected to your intuition at its most powerful. Obviously, creativity demands powerful intuition. So our creative geniuses are such because of this relationship with their intuitive foundation, same place where religion takes hold.
