no sorry, my phd advisor is the nicest guy ever and even offered to lend me his car when I needed to move apartments
hes in his first few years of being a PI so maybe thats just one of the benefits

sadly he caught covid in early april and died, and now i have some woman who is basically like OP's grad advisor

My advisor is great, I picked him specifically because of that. He makes time for us and takes care of us. Hella old too so I got him at peak experience before mental decline.
