The problem with economics is that it is currently like trying to use chemistry to understand biology. It gets you lots of information about cells and proteins, but you will ultimately miss important pictures about ecosystems and evolution. The laws of economics that seem to work are due to averages of human behaviours on microeconomic scales. However, the amount of different types of commerce and scenarios that exist prevent these average scenarios from always holding true and the laws break down somewhat. It's effective in certain scenarios, but macroeconomics has been nothing but a failure.

Microeconomics can be a form of applied math. Macroeconomics is a stupid field. It's completely based on flawed metrics like the consumer price index. Also it's been totally corrupted by moneyed interested(examples: bailing out irresponsible banks instead of the mortgage debtors in 2008, free trade fags, & mass migration shills).
