A medical oddities compilation in the health sciences library. Pages and pages of things people swallowed that had to be surgically removed, congenital defects, stuff that you'd find at the Mutter Museum 25 years ago but in an old book.

When I was a grad student visiting Yale, I would go into the library stacks and find uncut books. They were typically humanities books, not science or math books, however.

not uni library, but once found some papers with sketches of ships in the harbor that the library used to overlook during WW2 with notes written in japanese hidden inside an 1800s gold mining book
