I left university after finishing my master degree. Doing a PhD would have been a waste of time on my CV while only getting slavery wage and working in a toxic atmosphere. My degree gave me perfect conditions for getting a good job in industry and to pursue further learning in my field as a hobby.

I've been ignored too many times by academics. They don't even reply to me for weeks when I'm doing my research. Is this unique to academia or is this something common to all the sectors?
Technically I guess companies ignore me when I ask for internships too. So its not unique to academia.
