I'm trying to find a Bachelor thesis topic on Quantum Computing, but I'm not very sure what is worthy of a bachelor thesis on that field.

look at different research groups at universities that are doing QC. look at their publications page, often times this will list theses as well as journal publications

One reasonable thing to tackle would be a proof for a specific known classical algorithm of whether anything can be parallelized through quantum computing. Another more practical application would be just coding a quantum algorithm. Cirq would be a good language if you’re familiar with python. Then explain the steps in latex using markdown cells in a jupyter notebook. That would be extremely useful, even if you technically you’re not doing something new.

I spent like 3 semesters learning quantum mechanics foundations as a CS monkey just for him to fuck off suddenly. Now I'm wondering what can I do because the problem is that nobody in my CS department is familiar with the subject.
